Former Miss SA Liesl Laurie survives a collision with a truck, but is taking time off while she recovers.
|||Former Miss South Africa had a lucky escape from a “horrific” car crash last week.
The 25-year-old beauty queen suffered only minor injuries after colliding with a truck. Laurie’s car was hit from the back by another vehicle, propelling her car into the truck ahead of her.
The 2015 Miss South was forced to exit her car through the back as the front of her vehicle was wedged under the truck.
According to eye-witnesses, the accident happened on the N1 highway near Midrand on Thursday.
Laurie was, understandably, shaking uncontrollably at the scene.
Laurie’s publicist revealed that she will be taking a short break from driving, and public appearances, while she recovers.
