AKA gives young aspiring musician/producer/engineers an opportunity to to equip themselves with skills.
|||According to ANN7, rapper AKA - whose real name is Kiernan Forbes - has announced the launched of his AKA scholarship programme on Tuesday.
AKA has partnered with SAE Institute, who are the world's leading educator in creative media industries.
The scholarship covers a full year’s tuition for SAE's full-time Higher Certificate in Sound Production at the state-of-the-art campus in the heart of Cape Town at the renowned Woodstock Exchange.
“It's a great honour for me to be able to offer a young aspiring musician/producer/engineer an opportunity to equip themselves with the skills needed to begin a career in the industry,” says the award-winning rapper.
“I myself studied to be a sound engineer and I still use the same skills I acquired all those years back, in the day to day happenings of my own career. Thank you SAE and Bridges for Music for partnering with me on this awesome initiative. Good luck to the recipient of this scholarship, and see you at the top,” he added.
To be able to apply for the scholarship, candidates/applicants must complete the application form. A follow up e-mail detailing the next steps of completion will be sent and AKA will have the final say as to who the successful candidates are or will be.
