WITH Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour set to kick off tonight in Joburg, one local celebrity is doing her best to emulate Minaj.

Musician Mshoza, who’s made headlines over the years for her dramatic skin-lightening procedures, has taken her modifications to the next level.

In a clip from the MTV Base feature for which she shot her modifications, she says: “Hi, this is Mshoza, the queen of kwaito. We’re about to fix Mshoza and make her look more like Nicki.”

The clip shows her swollen lips being injected and her unable to move her face as she tries to speak as she lies on the table.

Twitter was quick to react to Mshoza’s even more drastic transformation.

@Tokyo_Trev said: “Mshoza now looks like a character from Toy Story.”

Some asked why she was allowed to make more alterations after having had so much surgery before.

“Doctors who keep operating on Mshoza are cruel, you should tell your clients when to stop. Plastic surgery is as addictive as drugs,” said @florenceletoaba.

A few defended Mshoza’s right to do anything to her own body. Among them was @Leeachie, who asked: “Mshoza is not modifying your face though… why you heating up fam? Your need to feel entitled to your opinion even on matters that don’t concern, your salary will not change Mshoza’s decision about her body.”

@infimiz_one quipped: “Mshoza wanted to look like Nicki Minaj and ended looking like Helen Zille, her effort did not go to waste.” Mshoza trended for most of last night.

Some compared her to a famous Muppet show character.

“Well done to Mshoza. You look like a long lost sister to Miss Piggie #IJustHadTo,” said (@Iam_Navz).

Mshoza shied away from social media through most of the ordeal, but she Instagrammed a picture of herself with the caption “When you read comments on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, you try not to laugh about it…
