|||Kim Kardashian made a dramatic return to the spotlight on Sunday, but it isn’t only her career that’s blowing up right now.
In a picture posted on sister Kourtney’’s Instagram feed, Kim’s sexy, post baby body was obviously meant to be the star attraction – it’s been seven weeks since she gave birth to son Saint – but it was her hideously swollen face that stole the show, with some observers claiming that they failed to recognise her.
“What's up with Kim's face?” wrote one shocked commentator. “Post Botox Kimmyyyy?????” said another.
One even argued that it wasn’t Kim in the picture at all, despite the fact that Kourtney had tagged the post with her sister’s name.
The photo was captioned “Studio hoes. #SWISH”. The more apt caption would have read “Studio woes” considering Kim’s swollen appearance.
The most famous of all the Kardashians certainly has a love-hate relationship with the Botox needle – she loves it and her critics detest it. Last year she had to fend off a flood of negativity after people accused her of using Botox during her pregnancy. InTouch magazine reported that Kim was using Botox every three months to maintain her look.
“No I don't do fillers or Botox when pregnant like some tabloids are reporting, you would have to be really sick to endanger your child like that!,” she snapped.
“Anyone who has been pregnant or gained weight knows your face totally changes! My nose gets bigger, cheeks fuller & my lips swell up.”
In 2010, her taste for Botox took a turn for the worst when she had a bad reaction to the procedure. After her injections, Kim complained of skin irritations and her eyes burning.
“The doctor did warn me about side effects from the botox, but I am feeling like my eyes are on fire,” she said at the time.
