The film-star and TV veteran whose career began in the 1940s died on Tuesday at her home in Los Angeles, her spokesperson told entertainment publisher Hollywood Reporter.
Barry became famous for her roles in the long-running soap operas “Days Of Our Lives”, “Guiding Light” and “All My Children,” but also starred in several movies alongside Hollywood icons earlier in her career.

In one of her earliest acting roles, Barry appeared in the 1949 thriller “The Undercover Man” alongside Hollywood golden era superstar Glenn Ford.
In the 1964 romantic comedy “Send Me No Flowers” Barry played the divorcee Linda Bullard who causes friction between the on-screen couple Rock Hudson and Doris Day.
