Do you have a big personality? Are you an aspiring presenter who has the X-factor? If you do - and have auditioned to be TLC's next greatest presenter - then you are almost guaranteed a place in the semi finalists.

There’s just one day left before the unveiling of the Top 13 Yes you read that right, 13, not 12 semi finalists will be announced.

After receiving more than 1500 auditions from around the continent, TLC has extended its semi-finalists from 12 to 13 due to the high number of quality entries received.

Those who’ve won the judges' hearts will be revealed everyday from Wednesday, September 7 on TLC, DSTV Channel 135.

For Jarred Doyle, one of the judges, talent alone is not enough - only the full package will get you through.

The celebrity publicist and communications strategist says he's looking for someone with a big personality who will be able to represent the TLC brand across Africa and the world.

“I'm going to look for somebody who has all the credentials in terms of knowing yourself... are you going to be able to handle the pressure that comes with winning, etcetera”.

To be the chosen one, they should know TLC and the shows very well, and must be a fan of the channel.

“TLC is not looking for just any presenter but the greatest presenter, so the person must be confident both on and off the camera,” he adds.

The Top 13 finalists will all come together for a four-day Boot Camp in Cape Town where they will attend various workshops hosted by the industry's best, including celebrity stylist Tracey-Lee Rosslind. She will put the contestants through their fashion paces to see who really has the showbiz style to present on TLC.

“We'd like to thank all our amazing fans who auditioned to become TLC's Next Great Presenter. The entries we received have again showcased the incredible talent that Africa has to offer.

He added: “With so many outstanding auditions, we had a difficult time narrowing it down and decided to extend the semi-finalist list to a Top 13, giving one more budding star the opportunity to go through to the next round of the competition. Stay tuned to TLC to see who's made it through,” said Lee Hobbs, VP of Channels for Discovery Networks.

It will be down to the star-studded line-up of expert judges to choose the Top 3 finalists at Boot Camp, which includes; radio and TV personality, Thando Thabethe; Head of Content at Multichoice, Aletta Alberts; editor of ZAlebs.com, Zee Dladla; Celebrity publicist and Communications Strategist, Jarred Doyle and VP of Channels for Discovery Networks CEEMEA, Lee Hobbs.

The TLC audience will then decide who should be crowned the winner and travel to London to film the brand new series, TLC's MOST EXTREME, set to premiere on TLC early next year. The winner will also feature in a one-off special programme documenting his or her journey, plus a luxury seven-night stay for two at 'The Palace, Sun City Resort' in South Africa, courtesy of Sun International.
