There has never been a more ‘serious’ time for comedy. Comedians are prioritising making people laugh resulting in epic comedy specials. Specials such as the Side Splitting Comedy taking place on August 27 that will feature an incredible line-up of South African stand-up comedians. Hosted by the hilarious and witty Pravesh Mungaldave, the sizzling line-up includes Chris Forrest, Chris Mapane and Prins VR.

Pravesh Mungaldave is professional MC and stand-up comedian, will entertain the audience with his sharp humour about experiences ranging from his childhood to current affairs.

Seasoned cook, actor and comedian, Chris Forrests' dry sense of humour, quick wit and intelligent comedy has made him one of the country's most popular comedians. The Celebrity Master Chef winner has been seen on numerous comedy stages nationally and internationally.

Known as the SA Sports Awards comedian, Chris Mapane never ceases to have audiences in stiches with his infectious energy and presence on stage. Hugely entertaining from start to finish, Mapane's style of comedy is perfect for the local market, as he relates to most aspects of South African life.

Rising star, Prins Virgil, better known as Prins on stage, shot to comedic fame after he was invited to perform at the Montreux Comedy festival in Switzerland and at the Busan Comedy Festival in South Korea where he represented the country.
