Rocking the Daisies tickets on sale soon

Tickets for the 11th annual Rocking the Daisies music and lifestyle festival in the Western Cape will go on sale on Monday. The early bird tickets went on sale in December and were sold out on the first day. Now, the fest has partnered with Nutickets to make the ticketing experience simpler and better.
In phase one – which starts at 9am on Monday – weekend passes will be on sale for R795, excluding the booking fee. That is the lowest price for the year. One person is allowed to buy only two tickets online.
It’s expected that these, too, will probably sell out. But, together with Nutickets, the Daisies are introducing a system where you can reserve their tickets should the ones in the first phase sell out sooner than you can buy. That means if you don’t get a ticket on April 25, you have the option to reserve your ticket on May 5. The reservation is for the tickets that will be released in phase 2 and 3.
If you choose this reservation option, you will be guaranteed a ticket. But you have to be sure to pay before the phase you’ve reserved your ticket for begins. Tickets reserved for phase 2 will be on sale for R895 excluding a booking fee for a weekend pass. You can buy up to three tickets for this phase, which starts on May 25.
The third phase is on June 1 and once again, only the phase 3 reserved tickets will be on sale but this time, for R995 excluding a booking fee for a weekend pass. One will be able to buy up to four tickets. If you reserve tickets but fail to pay for them in that limited time, you will forfeit your tickets and have to buy them on a first come first serve basis in July.
Once the reserved tickets have been sold, the website will open tickets to the public in July – but only if there are any more tickets left. Here, there is no guarantee that one will definitely get a day or weekend pass to the music and lifestyle festival.
The popular event will, as has become tradition, take place at the Cloof Wine Estate in Darling and will run from October 6 to 9. There will obviously be international and local acts to look forward to. This year, the fest has been acquired by Steyn Entertainment. The In the City show – which was previously called the Vodacom In the City concert – always uses the same headliners from Daisies and brings them to Joburg that same weekend in October. Steyn Entertainment have bought that property, too.
Beatboxer and artist, George Avakian, said on behalf of Steyn Entertainment: “Our plan is to enhance the offering of South Africa’s top two music and lifestyle events to invite the world to our beautiful country. Our vision is to take them to the next level in terms of production value, line-up and technical design, cementing their place on the international festival circuit.”
